Job Overview:
The Texas Criminal Defense Group is seeking a skilled and creative Videographer/Photographer to join our team in Lubbock, Texas. This position is pivotal in capturing high-quality visual content that effectively communicates our brand’s core messages and supports our marketing and legal outreach efforts. The role involves significant travel to our various offices across Texas and other locations as needed. In addition to visual content creation, this position requires strong journalistic skills to tell compelling stories about our clients and other relevant subjects. The ability to manage and grow our social media presence, including YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Capture and produce high-quality photographs and videos for promotional materials, client stories, social media, website content, and internal communications. Ensure all footage aligns with our brand’s standards.
- Storytelling: Use journalistic skills to craft and communicate compelling stories about our clients, their cases, and other related subjects that resonate with our audience.
- Project Management: Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and team members to understand project goals and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of all assignments.
- Technical Proficiency: Operate and maintain photography and video equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio recording devices, and editing software. Proficiency in editing photos and videos using software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom is required.
- Social Media Management: Develop and manage content for the firm’s social media platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Engage with our online community and monitor social media trends to ensure our content remains relevant and impactful.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and legal teams to develop visual content that aligns with our brand’s messaging. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for visual content and assist with setting up and staging shoots.
- Quality Control: Ensure all visual content is of the highest quality and adheres to brand guidelines. Review and select the best footage and images, making necessary adjustments to improve visual appeal.
- Event Coverage: Capture photos and videos at firm events, community outreach, and other important occasions. Edit and produce highlight reels and photo galleries for internal and external use.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends in photography, videography, editing techniques, and social media. Experiment with new styles and methods to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Administration: Organize and archive visual assets systematically for easy retrieval. Maintain an inventory of equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in videography/photography, journalism, marketing/public relations, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: At least three years of proven experience as a Videographer/Photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of work. Experience in journalism, social media management, and legal marketing is a plus.
- Job-Related Skills:
- Proficiency with professional camera equipment and editing software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom.
- Strong journalistic skills, including writing and storytelling.
- Excellent understanding of lighting, composition, and audio recording.
