We are offering a unique position for an amateur photographer / videographer to shoot construction documentation on location. Computer production of that imagery will be part of the workflow. Video editing in Adobe Premiere is also part of that production. FAA certification as a UAS drone pilot would be a valuable plus.

If you also have experience, or a desire to advance your basic skills in website design and content maintenance (working in WordPress and GoDaddy Website Builder platforms), plus social media posting & management, we have need for a person with those skills, too.

We are interested hiring for a part-time position for one or two people, and would consider a full-time position for one qualified person with more combined skills and experience.

P-Tn is family owned & operated; established in 1973. Our staff wears many hats, providing a variety of services to our clients in architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate. We are seeking an amateur photographer who wishes to develop a variety of skills working in a small business setting. You will work both INDOORS and OUTDOORS in all seasons to accurately capture imagery and visually document different environments, then complete computer production of that imagery. We primarily create documentation-level (basic) photo & audio-video imagery in volume!

We also fly (drone) aerial still images & video footage, shoot creative architectural photos, capture executive portraits & headshots, install remote webcam systems for contractors to manage site-monitoring & security, capture time-lapse imagery, create videos, edit marketing quality video ‘shorts’, and photograph an occasional event for our clients. We create & maintain websites for select clients, manage social media posting, and we also sell iPlanTables Interactive Touchscreen Workstations.

In the past we have employed amateur photographers as in-the-field photo/video documentation assistants, or as computer-production assistants, working together with our staff to improve their basic skills and explore the possibility of establishing a longer-term employment opportunity.

Employment would begin with a paid internship-trial period, followed by a part-time position or concentrated training period. There is potential for an ongoing part-time position after 30-90 days training, or future full-time work, based upon your successful performance, an evaluation of your skills, the quality of your completed work, and our staffing needs.

Basic photography skills & experience are required. However, we will train you to our desired skill level. The more experience and talent you bring – the better. Basic WINDOWS computer skills are required, and we will train you for our specific photo/video production procedures, and provide all needed photographic & computer equipment. Editing experience in Adobe Premiere is important, and we will ask for samples of videos you have personally edited. Your desire to become a better (professional) photographer, photo technician, videographer, video editor, or drone pilot, is of interest to us. Bringing those skills to the interview is a plus.

If you are an FAA Certified UAS-Drone Pilot – let us know. If you have drone flight experience and wish to become certified – we will assist with study and pay for your successful pilot testing, then utilize those skills.

If you ALSO already have experience with, or an interest in learning, basic web design & development in both WordPress and GoDaddy Website Builder platforms, along with social media posting and online marketing of our business & select clients — we will assist by exploring, improving, and possibly putting those skills to work at P-Tn.

We are not seeking … aspiring portrait or wedding or creative advertising illustration photographers. This job involves more ‘mundane’ field photo/video work than it does advanced video production, as our focus is in the construction & engineering industries; working on location.

Improve your photography skills by shooting literally thousands of images to our specifications and high standards. Become proficient in specific computer imaging skills, plus managing of digital photographs and videos, as well as video editing. Learn from seasoned professional photographers in a small business work environment that will team you with the business owners to contribute your skills toward completing our varied assignments for a long list of respected clients.

We will train you to our level of need, evaluate your performance periodically, and we will consider advancement toward a long term part-time or (possible) full-time position – for a successful photographer, at the completion of your training.
An NDA and/or Non-Compete agreement will be required.

We will offer some flexibility for you to work around other obligations, but we expect availability during daytime – weekday hours. Schedule may vary from 24-40 hours per week. Starting wage TBD based upon internship trial period, training, and your competency in the skills you bring.
