The Videographer/Photographer position is responsible for capturing high-quality visual content that effectively communicates Lighthouses brand messages and supports the organizations overall marketing and branding efforts. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including promotional videos, product photography, event coverage, and more. The Videographer/Photographer will collaborate closely with the marketing team and other departments to produce compelling and visually appealing media.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The fundamental responsibilities of Lighthouses Director of Marketing and Creative Services include:
- Content Creation: Capture high-quality photographs and videos for a range of purposes including promotional materials, social media, website content, and internal communications, ensuring all footage meets the highest standards of quality.
- Project Management: Coordinate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and objectives, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of assignments.
- Technical Proficiency: Operate and maintain photography and video equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio recording devices, and editing software. Be proficient in editing photos and videos using software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop visual content that aligns with the brand’s aesthetic and messaging. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for visual content. Assist with setting up and staging photoshoots and video shoots.
- Quality Control: Ensure all visual content is of the highest quality and adheres to brand guidelines. Review and select the best footage and images, making necessary adjustments to improve visual appeal.
- Event Coverage: Capture photos and videos at company events, conferences, and other important occasions. Edit and produce event highlight reels and photo galleries for internal and external use.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in photography, videography, and editing techniques. Experiment with new styles and techniques to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Administration: Organize and archive visual assets in a systematic manner for easy retrieval. Maintain an inventory of equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelors degree in videography/photography, marketing/public relations or related field is preferred. Relevant work experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
EXPERIENCE:
Videographer/Photographer must
- At least three years of proven experience as a Videographer/Photographer.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of photography and videography work.
- Experience in planning and executing photo and video shoots from concept to completion.
- Special consideration will be given to candidates with social media expertise, drone photography/videography and/or graphic design.
JOB-RELATED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Proficiency with professional camera equipment and editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom.
- Excellent understanding of lighting, composition, and audio recording.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on weekends or outside regular business hours as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current trends and advancements in photography, videography, and editing techniques.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their requirements for visual content.

- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

- Able to attend to detail and prioritize.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Medium Work: Lifting or exerting 20 to 50 pounds of weight/force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of weight/force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of weight/force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity.
- Must be able to travel throughout Lighthouses service area.
- When a Lighthouse vehicle is not available, use of personal vehicle is required.
- Must be able to work regular office hours Monday-Friday.
