Job description
SUMMARY: The Videographer Coordinator provides support through video technology support services for Christ the Rock Community church. This involves video production responsibilities and production operations. The Videographer Coordinator serves to give creative visual support to the way we communicate the vision of the church as outlined by the Senior Pastor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Senior Pastor or his designee.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Produce creative videos for announcements and promotional campaigns.
- Shoot, edit, and finalize video content.
- Produce creative videos for sermon illustrations.
- Produce creative element videos for major CRCC events (i.e., Easter, Family Fun Night and Christmas Eve services).
- Capture the CRCC experience, including services, ministry highlights and serving teams in action.
- Capture digital stories at ministry and church-wide events.
- Film and create videos capturing teaching, such as Bible Study, Water Baptism, Discipleship classes.
- Capture and edit life change stories, including Water Baptism and other growth commitments.
- Prepare for worship services and special events using video technology, to include live streaming.
- Set up and operate equipment for a variety of functions.
- Participate as a member of the team, bringing ideas to grow the effectiveness and influence of CRCC through video and visual technology.
- Participate as a member of the team, in growing the volunteer team, especially videographers.
- Uphold all policies and procedures provided in Volunteer Handbook and AV manual.
- Attend ministry training meetings and events, all church staff meetings as well as Department staff meetings.
- Provide reports and schedules as requested.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: As assigned by Communications Director.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
- Individual must be a self-starter who can interact well with others.
- Must possess strong analytical interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, volunteers, and congregants.
- Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.
- Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education and/or Experience: We require a Bachelors, Associates, or 2+ years’ experience in video creation, editing, production is preferred.
Communication/Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and correspondence. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership, staff, congregants, volunteers, board, and vendors.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform detailed work with data and to make numerical computations in support of the business of the church.
Reasoning And Analysis Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work under pressure and ability to make decisions according to established guidelines. Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheets is required. Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ministry: Must demonstrate the ability to listen effectively and to communicate clearly, both orally and in written form.
RELATIONAL SERVICE: Work with staff, congregants and vendors who inquire in a positive, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable manner, remembering God as their primary focus. Represents CRCC professionally at every contact with staff, congregants, volunteers, and vendors.
ATTENDANCE: Must be able to report to work consistently. Must be able to maintain an attendance record in compliance with CRCC policies and procedures.
