Videographer/Editor

Abt Electronics is seeking a highly creative, skilled and self-motivated videographer/editor to join our video production department. The primary goal of this position is to help promote the Abt brand through videos (product overviews, how-tos, social media, interviews, etc.), with tasks including filming, lighting, audio recording and editing.

• Review a provided script and establish a shot list
• Plan and secure filming location
• Transport equipment if necessary
• Light set
• Film presenter and capture B-roll, acting as director
• Edit footage to create a clear and cohesive video that is engaging, informative and concise
• Select appropriate music for video from provided catalog
• Assist on larger productions as gaffer/grip

• 2-3 years of experience working in the field and in the studio with audio/video recordings
• Well-developed reel/portfolio showcasing compelling production and post production abilities
• Strong knowledge of lighting
• Must demonstrate a good eye for shot composition
• Instinctive ability to capture appropriate energy, pacing, and rhythm through edits
• Technical proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
• Ability to multitask and exhibit flexibility under pressure while producing quality results
• Comfortable being a one person team, or a team member assisting on other projects
• Working knowledge of production equipment (cameras, lighting, audio)
• Proficient with typography
• Attention to detail is a must
• Strong interpersonal skills and desire to be a collaborator in a creative team
• Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition
• Familiarity with Mac OS
