Job description

Videographer/Editor

Radiant Kids Therapy is seeking a talented Videographer/Editor for a short-term Training Video project. As a Videographer/Editor, you will play a crucial role in creating compelling visual content to support our mission of providing high-quality therapy services for children in San Diego County and Southern California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity and technical skills in videography and editing. Talented amateurs with videography and editing experience are welcome to apply.

Project Details:

This is a short-term (1-2 months) project to produce training materials for new employees (Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapists). You would be filming selected speech, occupational and physical therapy sessions in clients’ homes (parents will be signing waivers first) and then very lightly editing the footage if/as needed. We provide in-home services for our clients throughout San Diego County (as far north as Oceanside/Fallbrook and as far south as San Ysidro), so you would be traveling to clients’ homes. We would choose and plan which sessions you would film; for scheduling/location logistics, you would coordinate directly with our scheduling team and our therapists.

You would record ~40-50 hours (est. 45) of individual sessions (approx. 15 for each discipline: speech, occupational and physical therapy). Most sessions are 1 hour; some are 30 minutes. Following recording, only very minimal editing would be needed, and you would provide the company with both the raw footage and the converted videos (high quality but easily streamable online), as each session video is complete. These videos will be used during the orientation process for future new therapist employees.

Term: This is a temporary, short-term, hourly contract (1099) position and is expected to last approximately 1-2 months, depending on how scheduling logistics. Start date is somewhat flexible, but ideally starting sometime in September.

Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with the leadership team to produce engaging video content that aligns with the company’s training goals.

– Capture high-quality footage using professional equipment and techniques to ensure visually appealing videos.

– Lightly edit raw footage to make it usable for our training purposes.

– Manage post-production processes, including color correction, audio mixing, and finalizing videos as needed.

Requirements:

– Must have your own professional recording equipment and your own video editing software

– Proficiency in video editing software.

– Excellent communication skills.

– Professionalism

– Flexible availability for the duration of the 1-2 month project, in order to accommodate our therapists’ and clients’ schedules.

– Friendly and easygoing with kids as our clients would need to be as comfortable as possible while being recorded, in spite of having a stranger in their home.

– Pass a background check

– Reliable transportation

– Provide samples of your work and/or a portfolio

– Strong background in videography, post-production, video editing, and motion graphics.

– Knowledge of photography principles to enhance video composition.

– Understanding of video production processes from concept development to final delivery.

– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

– Strong organizational skills

– Reliability

Compensation: $35.40-40.95/hour depending on experience and qualifications. This pay rate includes: session recording time and (minimal) editing time. Drive time to/from client homes will be compensated separately at $20/hour. This is a 1099/Contractor position.
