Videographer & Video Editor for Massage Instructional Videos
Our company is creating educational instructional videos related to massage training. Our goal is to offer well-made and informative tutorials. We have alot of videos to film and edit.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Videographer & Video Editor to join our team. The person will be responsible for both filming and editing, ensuring that the final videos are polished, professional, and meet our educational objectives while maintaining a high standard of production.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and a passion for creating visually compelling content, and have experience with graphics, animation, and sound design.
This is an excellent opportunity for film students or recent graduates looking to build their portfolios.
Responsibilities:
– Videography:
- Plan, set up, and execute video shoots for various types of massage instructional content.
- Collaborate with the massage instructor to determine the best camera angles, lighting, and shot compositions to effectively demonstrate techniques.
- Operate camera equipment to capture high-quality video.
- Ensure all footage is captured in a way that meets our production standards and educational goals; and logged for video editing efficiency.
– Video Editing:
- Review and organize raw video footage, selecting the best takes and shots for the final videos.
- Edit and assemble video content to create a smooth and cohesive narrative that highlights the massage techniques being taught.
- Enhance video and audio quality to achieve a professional standard.
- Add visual elements, such as graphics, texts, and animations, transitions to enhance understanding and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the massage instructor to ensure the educational goals of each video are met in the final product.
- Optimize videos for various platforms, maintaining a consistent look and feel across all formats.
- Keep files organized and named in systematic order
– General:
- Assist with any additional tasks related to video production, such as setting up equipment or managing file storage.
- Be proactive in suggesting improvements and creative solutions to enhance the overall quality of the videos.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Videographer and Video Editor, with a portfolio that includes educational or instructional content.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of video composition, pacing, and storytelling to create engaging content.
- Solid knowledge of color correction, audio mixing, and video compression for online platforms.
- Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining consistency in style, tone, and spatial order and alignment throughout multiple videos.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively, managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Able to work on-site in our home-based office in Kerrisdale and our studio in Chinatown.
- Have own a portable computer and relevant editing software.
