Content Creator – Photographer/Videographer

Responsibilities:Visual storytelling and content creation:
Capture the essence of the Stellies brand through compelling photography and videography for social media, website, email campaigns, and other digital channels.
Develop a content strategy that aligns with the brand’s visual identity, values, and messaging framework, ensuring all content communicates the correct brand ID and corporate image.
Craft witty yet professional copy that speaks in the brand’s tone of voice and is optimised for each channel.

Photography and videography:
Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality photos and videos that showcase products, brand ambassadors, events, and lifestyle moments.
Potentially feature in media/content as a brand representative.

Social media management:
Create and schedule engaging social media content, both planned and quick-response, to drive audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness.
Manage organic reach and implement strategies to increase visibility and interaction.

Additional:
Stay in tune with social media trends and leverage them to create relevant and engaging content.
Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality content creation.

Qualifications:
Proven ability to create visually stunning photography and videography that resonates with target audiences on social media and digital platforms.
Strong understanding of composition, lighting, editing techniques, and visual storytelling principles.
Experience with professional photography and videography equipment.
Proficiency in photo and video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for content creation and distribution.
Excellent copywriting skills, ability to craft witty and engaging captions and other written content.
Passion for the Stellies brand and values.
Own equipment: You must have access to your own photography and videography equipment for the six-month contract period. A budget will be allocated for equipment rental where necessary.

Bonus points:
Experience in e-commerce or retail environments.
Familiarity with the South African market and culture.
Interest in adventure, travel, and outdoor activities.

Additional information:
Location: Stellenbosch, South Africa (in-office for the 6-month contract period, with potential for hybrid work arrangement if the contract is converted to permanent)

Contract duration: Six months (with potential for permanent)
