About the Role:

This is a freelance/contract role as a Videographer in the Creative Studio department, reporting to the Senior Producer. The salary is negotiable and the location is hybrid (mainly remote with a requirement to travel to our office in Wapping and other filming locations as required).

Responsibilities:

  • You will be part of the team responsible for taking social video content to the next level by bringing flair, creativity and proactivity to the offering.
  • We predict this role to be a 25/75% mix of filming and editing in favour of editing.
  • In post-production, you will be editing from feature film, console game source materials and filmed footage, responsible for working on both short and long form video content, creating exciting and engaging edits of the highest quality for use across social media and the digital space to the correct technical specification.
  • Filming requirements can range from co-ordinated experiential event capturing, influencer activations in foreign countries to near-real-time red carpet content for social distribution.

Required Skills:

  • 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • An eye for detail, composition, framing, lighting and colour when shooting
  • A passion for storytelling and visuals
  • Strong communication skills, ability to stay calm under pressure on set and command a crew ahead of and on the day of the shoot
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills both in the field and in the studio/at the editing desk
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of other designers, strategists and project managers to manage different projects and deadlines
  • An understanding of marketing and enthusiasm in social media
  • Willingness to stay up to date with new trends and technologies to help us stay ahead of the curve

Technical knowledge/experience

  • Strong experience of digital cameras and filming equipment. For example, we may use cameras ranging from Sony FX9s, Canon R6, Sony A7III, Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro or Pocket Cinema Cameras.
  • Experience with lighting equipment, for both indoor and outdoor set ups. Knowledge of using lighting equipment to set a scene suitable for the content being captured and using a variety of lighting equipment, such as LED panel lights, fresnels, space lanterns and more.
  • Good knowledge of grading, audio editing and sound design
  • Experience of audio recording equipment that can range from run ‘n’ gun lapel or boom mic operation to podcast quality microphones. Knowledge using Sennheiser G series lapel mics, RODE Wireless GO, RODE NTA-1, Sennheiser ME66 shotgun mics would be an advantage.
  • Experience with digital audio recording interfaces will also be needed to interface between the mic, camera or computer. Such as Zoom recorders, PreSonus, Focusrite DACs.
  • Experience with gimbals is a must and expert handling of tripods and monopods but experience with drones would also be an advantage.
  • Proven experience across Social Media, online and offline media and broadcast, with a showreel to demonstrate.
  • Knowledge of video codecs, file formats and specs for web and beyond is a must.
  • Proficient knowledge of Premiere Pro
  • Good working knowledge of After Effects

Preferred Skills:

  • An interest in film and TV is a bonus
  • Experience within a variety of media industry environments
  • Experience with After Effects for simple GFX (working in conjunction with our design team)
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve for colour grading to a good level
