We are passionate about storytelling and are looking for a talented Video Editor to help us create compelling content that resonates with our audience.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition to full-time. A key responsibility in this role will be editing our company podcast, in addition to editing video content for various platforms. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to shoot video and photograph content, which would be a significant plus. This is an in-person position, so candidates must be able to work on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and produce high-quality episodes of our company podcast, ensuring clear audio and engaging content.
- Edit video content for social media, websites, and other promotional materials, maintaining high standards for quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to understand project goals and deliver compelling visual content.
- Organize and manage raw footage, audio files, and project assets for efficient workflow.
- Assist in planning, setting up, and executing video shoots, capturing high-quality footage.
- Capture and edit photos as needed for digital and print media, enhancing the visual appeal of our content.
- Stay updated with the latest video and audio editing software, techniques, and industry trends.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Provide creative input during brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new content and podcast episodes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio that includes video editing (podcast production is a plus).
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci, After Effects) and audio editing tools (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition).
- Experience in video shooting and photography is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, audio clarity, and visual composition.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take direction from project leads.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom) or other photo editing software is a plus.
- Flexibility to work part-time with the potential to increase hours based on performance and company needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
