Avid Video Editor W/ After Effects Experience

Job Description

To be successful in this position you must be well organized with great media and time management skills. You must be able to take direction well, work independently and as a team to meet deadlines, bring creativity and style to different brands and independently transform a basic outline into a finished spot. It is paramount that you have a great sense of typography, timing, style, and design. The majority of projects will be lightly supervised and many creative decisions will primarily fall on the responsibility of the editor. Many projects require heavy composting and a great deal of animation and motion graphics. Proficiency with After Effects and 3rd part plugins is required.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Media Director, Producers and other team members to develop and produce creative marketing and advertising videos that effectively communicate marketing and branding messages.

• Produce and edit broadcast quality videos, commercials and promos in Avid Media Composer

• Composite and create motion graphics and animations in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.

• Compress and transcode videos and media files for digital distribution.

• Manage and maintain media assets, servers and libraries.

• Independently edit, package and deliver finalized video content

• Ingest and log media assets into Avid Media Composer and multiple media databases

• Ability to fill studio and field production roles on an as-needed basis. i.e. floor manager, producer, teleprompter operator, Technical Director, boom operator, etc.

• Assist with any and all department requests and projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years professional experience with Avid Media Composer and Adobe After Effects

• Proficient with; Avid Keyboard shortcuts, video compositing, color correction, chroma-keying, audio mixing, NTSC and broadcast standards.

• Proficient with the following software: Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Avid Nexis and G Suite.

• Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to produce a variety of media content including; promotional content, instructional videos, television and radio commercials, live Q&A sessions, as well as magazine and news style studio programs.

• Team player who is well organized, punctual and able to quickly follow direction in both live and post-production environments

• Online portfolio that fully demonstrates your compositing, editing and motion graphic skills.

Job Types: Freelance, Contract

Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
