    $17.43 – $23.42 / hour

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Acquires high quality video and maintains proper video and audio standards for broadcast, web, and digital distribution.
    • Produces videos using Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment to include editing of video, audio, and integration of graphics.
    • Works with Producers to establish edit schedules, and deadlines.
    • Handles camera, lighting and audio recording for single and multi camera remote productions.
    • Performs control room, studio, and master control duties as needed.
    • Assists with audiovisual presentations with PA audio, video recording, video projection, and other requests as needed.
    • Provide setup, use and breakdown of gear for video productions.
    • Performs related duties as required.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) or equivalent mix of education and working experience.
    • Motivated to deliver the highest quality finished product.
    • Working knowledge and hands-on experience operating production equipment in studio and on location (cameras, lighting, microphones).
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other editing software.
    • Ability to take educated risks, try new ideas, and foster innovation.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Work requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks; climbing ladders, working on elevated surfaces, moving cameras, lighting, and audio equipment and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the state of Virginia and must have a satisfactory driver’s record based on Hampton City Schools’ criteria.
