Adventureland Resort – Phantom Fall Fest Scare Actor

A scare actor will help to provide the guests an immersive frightful experience by working in a haunted maze, a scare zone, or as a roaming actor! This position plays an integral part of bringing the fun to the event and making the haunted attractions come to life!

We are currently looking for a:

Adventureland Park – Phantom Fall Fest Scare Actor

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Scare guests as they enter the Haunts and Scare zones located throughout the park.
• Greet all guests in the scariest way possible
• Ideal candidates have an enthusiasm for acting and creativity and are willing to transform into a frightening creature through full makeovers and costuming including the use of masks.
• Scare Actors must remain in costume and makeup throughout the entirety of their scheduled shifts.
• Must demonstrate control, restraint, and awareness in order to minimize the escalation of situations in which a guest may get overly scared.
• Maintain a safe environment by keeping at least an arm’s distance between self and the guests, keeping escape routes clean, and following any other safety standards.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be playful, outgoing, and friendly, have a positive attitude and a guest centric personality
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and define problems and offer solutions to maintain a positive guest experience
• Must take initiative and maintain calm in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Must be able to stand, walk kneel, and crouch for extended periods in various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow
• Must be able to perform in costumes that may have limited sight lines
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• BONUS Qualification – Any special skills such as dancing, stilt walking, juggling, etc. are looked for and welcomed

Working Conditions:

• Scare Actors must remain in costume and makeup throughout the entirety of their scheduled shifts
• Scare Actors may be asked to play different characters in different areas of the park
• Requires standing for long periods and walking long distances within the park
• Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat and cold temperatures
• Occasional bending, squatting and reaching above shoulders

Experience: No prior experience is required
