Job Type: Full Time – Contract – Hybrid
Expected Duration: 4+ Months
Pay Rate: $42/hr on W2
Description
- The Video Editor/Animator helps create compelling and impactful stories through video. This person will be part of a small but mighty video team.
- As a video editor and animator, you will handle, video editing, media management, After Effects animation, basic sound design and mixing, color correction, encoding and delivery.
- Once created, the Video Editor is responsible for obtaining proper approvals and delivering the various versions of the project for distribution in their proper formats.
- The ideal applicant will be a self-motivated team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

What You’ll Do
- Identify the best takes and edit highly engaging content with deliverables in multiple formats for a variety channels including social, television and our website
- Editing in both Premiere & After Effects.
- Help create animation/motion graphics for existing videos
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Color correct final videos and edit audio
- Assist in the conceptual development of original content
- Collaborate with other members of the video team, copywriters, account executives, and other designers
- Communicate with the team regarding project status and needs
- Manage and organize digital video files
- Balance and execute multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Have a basic understand of capturing content with professional cameras if necessary
Project Work – Video editing and animating
- Provide video assets for all mediums
- Always edit to best practices and standards
- Update existing with new business requirements
- Complete projects according to deadlines
- Know when to push the creative envelope and go ‘outside the box’
- Manage own timeline and multi-task
- Help develop concepts and creative approaches with team
Project Work – Finishing and audio
- Make sure creative direction is being followed
- Polish visuals to broadcast and digital standards
- Edit and mix audio to broadcast standards
Media/Asset Management
- Organize and label clips, folders and files
- Download and back up working files
- Archive projects and files
Team Collaboration
- Develop and share new ideas and approaches among teams
- Collaborate with video team, writers and designers through pre-production to delivery
What You Have:
- 2-5 years of post-house or agency experience
- expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite proficient in After Effects, Photoshop, & Illustrator
- Proficiency in Speed Grade or Davinci Resolve
- a basic understanding storytelling principles and styles a demo reel that showcases your strongest work examples of edits “before and after” finishing
- excellent communication skills
- the ability to collaborate
- very strong organizational skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook
- great attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40.00 – $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
