Degree: BA/BS in Film, Communications, Media Studies or related field OR 10+ years of experience in production

FT/PT: Full Time

We need motivated candidates with extensive communications, public affairs and production management experience to support a defense public affairs contract. This position will support command communications activities, including:

• Responsible for managing overall production operations.
• Consulting with clients to define production’s concept, objectives, and target audience.
• Advise on script effectiveness and develop budget estimates.
• Design and maintain budget control throughout the product lifecycle.
• Approve script and set designs, and oversee procurement of props and equipment.
• Select production crew members.
• Organizing, writing, storyboarding, shooting, editing, lighting, and producing audio visual projects, podcasts, and slide shows.
• Photography/videography editing and production, story development and production, scriptwriting, multimedia subject matter expert, support on-camera interviews, digital video conversion from one file format to another, color correction and processing of print and informational imagery.
• Knowledge of equipment, techniques, and processes of photography, lighting techniques, 508 closed captioning, podcasts and digital reproduction techniques.
• Event photography, including shooting, editing and archiving.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• Experience as a producer, and managing all aspects of video production.
• Demonstrated experience in creative multimedia design support including: scriptwriting, caption writing, video editing, videography, video producing and still photography services in a public affairs/corporate communications environment.
• Must have experience in gathering information and materials, as well as planning concepts by studying information and materials, managing workflow and scheduling including managing multimedia products from inception to completion.
• Understanding of 508 compliance.
• Understanding of the Associated Press style guide.
• Understanding of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, AVS Video Converter, and screen capture software.
• Photography and videography experience with demonstrated experience producing motion graphics for video using lighting design, sound design, story development and conducting video interviews.
