Costume Coordinator

The Haunted Hotel Inc. has been in San Diego designing, building, and operating immersive haunted houses for over 30 years. Seeking experienced and creative Costume Coordinator to join our Scream Team!

Job Description: Costume Coordinator will work in tandem with The Haunted Hotel Inc. production team to purchase, create, organize, and maintain clothing & accessories for all characters in the productions. Work is seasonal & part-time from roughly June – Oct.

Duties will include: Shopping for wardrobe/costume items, putting together online orders, shopping at physical stores/thrifts, making alterations or repairing damaged wardrobe pieces, helping with setup and organization of the wardrobe area at each haunt site prior to opening, laundering costumes before season as well as on a weekly basis once the haunts are operating.

Requirements: Must be capable of moving and lifting up to approx. 40 lbs as you must be able to move and sort through bins of wardrobe in our storage areas. Must have reliable transportation, with space to load up during shopping or laundry trips. Must be able to work in a fast paced (sometimes stressful environment), be reliable, have the ability to self motivate and work with strict deadlines, and be able to take direction and learn quickly.

Experience:

– A work history with theater, film, or haunt wardrobe.

– Basic sewing experience in required: making alterations or fixing damaged wardrobe pieces, zippers, etc.

– Seamstress & Design experience is highly preferred as we occasionally need Custom Creations fabricated for specific characters.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
