JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. They will have a keen eye for detail, a creative mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. The Video Editor will be responsible for producing high-quality video content that aligns with our church’s vision and values.

We are committed to utilizing multimedia platforms to engage our congregation and reach out to the wider community. Our video productions play a crucial role in conveying our message effectively and creatively.
POSITION SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, compelling videos for various church events, services, and outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts and storyboards that effectively communicate our message.
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and branding across all video content.
- Incorporate music, sound effects, and graphics to enhance the overall quality of the videos.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing techniques and software.
- Manage and organize video assets, maintaining an efficient workflow and file structure.
- Attend production meetings and provide input on video production strategies and goals.
- Occasionally assist with on-site video recording and live-streaming during church services and events.
- Perform other church duties as assigned to help all people of all ages all the time advance in their journey with Christ
CORE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Policy and Procedure: Possesses knowledge (or seeks appropriate guidance) and maintains the ability to accurately apply all policies and procedures as listed in the BattleCreek employee handbook or as otherwise instructed as able to lead others.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills and creativity.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, as well as other relevant editing software and plugins.
- Solid understanding of video codecs, formats, and color grading techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and requirements.
- A passion for storytelling and a commitment to delivering high-quality video content that resonates with our audience.
- Previous experience working with a church or religious organization (preferred but not required).
