Job Description:
We are seeking a charismatic and engaging Host to lead our upcoming documentary series. This series shines a light on the unique local businesses and vibrant neighborhoods that define Boston, exploring the stories of dedication, passion, and community spirit behind each establishment. As the face of the series, the Host will guide viewers through each episode, conducting in-depth interviews with business owners, interacting with the local community, and narrating the captivating tales of each neighborhood’s charm and resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Interviews: Engage with business owners and community leaders to uncover and share their stories, challenges, and triumphs.
- Narration: Provide compelling narration throughout the series, adding depth and context to the stories being told.
- Community Interaction: Actively participate in community events and activities, demonstrating genuine interest and building rapport with locals.
- Collaborate with Production Team: Work closely with the director, producers, and crew to develop episode scripts, select shooting locations, and ensure the series’ vision is effectively realized.
- Promotional Activities: Represent the series in promotional events, media interviews, and social media, helping to build anticipation and engagement with potential viewers.
Requirements:
- Experience and Skills: Previous experience in hosting, journalism, acting, or related fields. Exceptional interviewing skills and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Strong on-camera presence and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Personality Traits: Charismatic, empathetic, and curious. A natural storyteller.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in various environments and able to adapt to changing schedules and scenarios with ease.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within Boston to explore different neighborhoods and businesses.
Job Types: Temporary, Contract
Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
