Full job description
We are looking for a video editor who will play a crucial role in creating compelling visual content that aligns with our brand’s goals and resonates with our target audience. You will edit the raw footage into polished, professional videos that capture attention, convey our message effectively, and drive engagement across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our creative team to conceptualize and produce video content.
Edit raw footage into a polished final product that aligns with the client’s brand guidelines and storytelling.
Add visual and sound effects, animations, and graphics to enhance the overall video.
Ensure that all videos are delivered on time and within budget.
Continuously learn and implement new editing techniques, tools, and software to enhance the video quality.
Exports videos and facilitates mobile and web distribution
Adjusts formats and file sizes as needed
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
Edit raw footage into high-quality videos, including promotional videos, social media clips, interviews, tutorials, and event highlights.
Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts that effectively communicate our brand message and meet project objectives.
Provide input on visual elements, pacing, and storytelling techniques to ensure the final product meets our quality and creativity standards.
Perform color correction and grading to enhance the video’s visual appeal and consistency, ensuring that colors are balanced, skin tones are natural, and the overall look matches the brand’s aesthetic.
Create and incorporate motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and other animated elements to add visual interest and reinforce key messages in the videos.
Requirements:
A proven track record of video editing experience with a portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar programs.
Understanding of color grading, sound mixing, and video compression.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the creative team.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles
Creative and innovative
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
Creative mind and storytelling skills
Solid understanding of video codecs, aspect ratios, frame rates, and other technical aspects of video production
Strong storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Familiarity with motion graphics and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is a plus.
Experience with audio editing and mixing is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From R94,48 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
