Our Marketing Department has an opening for a talented Visual Design Specialist who’s all about capturing stunning photographs and creating captivating video content If you’ve got some killer graphic design skills too, that’s a big plus! We need someone who’s not just passionate, but also laser-focused on aligning every piece of content with our strategic marketing goals and campaigns. You’ll be working closely with the Brand Manager and collaborating with our dynamic in-house creative team, where we thrive on problem-solving and telling stories that really hit home across all media platforms.

We’re looking for a creative powerhouse – a team player with a boundless imagination, who’s adaptable and loves bouncing ideas off others. Essentially, we need someone with an impeccable attention to detail, who can seamlessly weave our brand story through video, photos, and even graphics across a range of mediums. Your creations will be everywhere – from our website to social media, and even our paid advertising campaigns. In short, your work will be front and center, making a real impact!

Responsibilities/Principal Duties:

  • Shoots video and photos on set and on location
  • Sets up and takes down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment.
  • Edits footage and photos after shooting.
  • Adds lower thirds, captions, and effects to videos that are consistent with our brand.
  • Shoots b-roll on a regular basis
  • Experiments with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements.
  • Suggests or selects music.
  • Corrects color.
  • Manages/Updates video and photo archives.
  • Maintains appropriate licensing rights for use of music and other intellectual property.
  • Collaborates closely with the Marketing team on strategy to deliverables, interprets creative directives, and implements feedback.
  • Travels as needed

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Including Premiere CC, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Motion graphics technology. InDesign and Illustrator are a plus!
  • Demonstrated comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of pre-production/planning, storyboarding, studio and field production, lighting/grip, audio engineering, video composition, and video/image compression for multiple delivery platforms.
  • Knowledge of post-production techniques.
  • Expert knowledge in lighting especially for indoor shoots, sound recording, and editing.
  • Experience capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, closed captioning, adding music/voice over, media management and archiving project media, and posting to YouTube and other social platforms.
  • Up to date with new industry technological advances, software and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in successful and measurable audience engagement through multimedia projects.
  • Administrative and project management skills.
  • A strong eye for detail and ability to work autonomously as well as a team member.
  • Willingness to learn and champion our values, mission and identity.
  • Portfolio/examples of work are required with resume submittal.

Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in videography/video production, multimedia design, visual arts, or related field, along with proven industry experience is required. Knowledge of photography is expected.
  • Advanced proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Proven ability to understand operation of a file server, file hierarchy organization and related software and all maintenance.
