POSITION PURPOSE
This is a part-time position within the University Marketing & Communications department. This position is responsible for providing videography support, including content creation, editing, and logistics, to promote the awareness and reputation of the University.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but not limited to:
- Produce University marketing content, including commercials, infographic videos, documentaries, interviews, highlights, and video motion graphics, for use on social media, websites, and other university marketing and communication channels.
- Film and produce videos for university events, which may include after-hours and weekend activities.
- Draft and edit scripts, as needed.
- Plan and provide logistical support for large-scale University Marketing & Communications projects.
- Take and edit photos for social media, marketing, print, website, historic, and other uses.
- Help plan and execute photo/video shoots and livestreamed events.
- Attend and actively contribute in team and planning meetings.
- Identify opportunities for the University to expand, innovate, and improve strategies and initiatives related to University Marketing & Communication.
- Maintain inventory of videography and photography equipment, ensuring secure storage and cleanliness and making recommendations for future equipment acquisition.
- Other duties as assigned.

WORKING REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS
Education/Certification
Although formal education is preferred (e.g., currently-in-training or a graduate of a film-related or arts program at an accredited institution), the University also values creative genius that may come from independent learning.
Required Knowledge
Demonstrated ability in coordinating, filming/shooting, and producing video and related content for a variety of purposes (e.g., documentary, commercial, interview, live streaming, lifestyle, social media).
Experience Required
2+ Years of Professional Videography and Photography Experience Required
Skills/Abilities
Competency in:
- Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects
- Sony a7rIII and/or Canon D-Series Cameras and Related Equipment
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Google Suite
- Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)
- Scriptwriting and Editing
- Graphic Design
Travel
Some travel will be required during regular business hours, evenings, and weekends.
