FULL DESCRIPTION:

ABOUT WE SCALE TRADES: Over the past 3 years, We Scale Trades has positioned itself as leading performance marketing agency for businesses in the home improvement space across the Scottish central belt. We specialise in lead generation through paid advertising platforms including but not limited to Meta and Google Ads.

Due to continued client success we are now entering a phase of rapid growth which has seen us expand our services across Scotland and into England. This means we are now looking to hire a full time videographer/content creator to join our team and help us continue to provide incredible performance marketing results for our home improvement clients through bespoke video and strategy.

The majority of your work will be in Edinburgh and across the central belt. However, travel will be required on the odd occasion down to England with all travel expenses paid and any additional hours. Day trips down south may become more frequent as the business continues to grow the client base in other locations.

This is a role where no two days are the same, with the opportunity to work across multiple different businesses and take full control of the creative aspect of our paid marketing service for clients with full autonomy.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

You will be joining a creative performance marketing team with an opportunity to lead the content creation side of our paid advertising campaigns.

This is a new role that will see you not only lead client content creation for their paid marketing campaigns but also for our own client acquisition campaigns.

This means we’re looking for someone that can both produce quality video and photo content but also has a keen eye for paid marketing (or a willingness to learn what makes an ad work).

You will be a strong communicator and able to give direction with great interpersonal skills for working with clients on media days.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a natural multi-tasker with a stack of media skills, your role responsibilities will range from but not limited to:

  • Script and copywriting for ad creatives (experience in this is not essential and can be taught)
  • Idea generation for scroll stopping ad creatives
  • Working closely with the paid advertising team
  • Photography & editing
  • Videography & editing
  • Graphic design of guides and brochures
  • Managing We Scale Trade’s social media channels and publishing content
  • Reviewing campaign effectiveness and highlighting top performing ad creatives to inform incremental improvements and changes.

KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

  • Experienced videographer/photographer.
  • Experience in graphic design and content creation.
  • Skilled in Adobe Suite, namely: Premiere Pro for video editing and Illustrator for graphic design.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple client’s content creation at one time.
  • Data driven – we need you to collaborate with the paid marketing team and have an eye on how well your ad creative performs to create more of what works and less of what doesn’t.
  • Ability to take ownership of work without hand holding (if you need micro-managed, this is not the role for you).

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience in paid marketing content creation.
  • The ability to produce motion graphics, animations or have aftereffects experience
  • Experience in After Effects
  • Skilled in web design.

WHAT WILL YOU BE PAID?

The salary will be £24,000-£32,000+ depending on experience with performance bonuses on top.

HOW TO APPLY:

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 35 hours per week. Candidates can be based preferably in Edinburgh but anywhere in the central belt will be considered. The role presents the opportunity for hybrid working that must include regular office attendance.
