Description
We produce nationally recognized online live events and advertisements to engage and expand our audience. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of our Director of Marketing. They will be a part of our marketing and video production team to create engaging video presentations. The position will be primary focused on editing video in DaVinci Resolve. Motion graphics experience is a plus. They will help maintain our brand quality and tone of voice. They will assist with producing our live online broadcasts from our in-house studio and create pre-recorded classes for our subscriber-based platforms. This position will require the ability to help move, set up, and take down production gear for location shoots and events. Proficiency in video editing, color grading, and sound is a must. Our ideal candidate will be able to take direction and understand video production terminology and best practices on set. They will work efficiently within tight deadlines. This is a full-time position that requires working on site.

What would make a great candidate? (Skills and Abilities)

  • Able to take direction
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Knowledge of Industry software is a must. Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of video production experience, or have a degree in media arts, broadcast journalism, digital media, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Wirecast or OBS software is preferred
  • Multi-camera production experience is a plus
  • Experience with A/V live settings is a plus
  • Familiarity with an audio production and lighting
  • Experience with After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar applications is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to take assignments from concept to completion
  • Detail oriented and able to balance multiple projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively and openly and maintain positive work
  • Able to maintain relationships. Even when things are stressful
  • Work in harmony with My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe’s core values
  • Has a growth mindset and improves as an individual and as a filmmaker or videographer
  • Has vision to improve existing productions, but is able to keep their feet on the ground as they work within constraints of budgets and situational changes
