We’re seeking a gifted Video Editor to join our Direct-Response Advertising team. You’ll craft compelling social media advertising videos that capture attention and enhance messaging for diverse e-commerce clients.

We are a collective of young(ish) entrepreneurs running an advertising agency in the heart of Birmingham. We are self-starters who get stuff done and pull together as a squad to achieve big things.

We work with e-commerce brands around the world, from New York to Sydney, helping to scale their businesses through creative-led and data-driven social media marketing campaigns.

The role?

A Digital Advertising Video Editor must have a passion for visual narration, a love for creating compelling videos, and an eye for things that capture the audience’s attention.

You’ll work closely with the team in-house and remote teams to create compelling short form ads suitable for Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking an individual proficient in crafting short form social media advertisements, with a portfolio showcasing their expertise in creating Instagram Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts

Someone who is capable of identifying captivating hooks from video footage to grab an audience’s attention, mastering the art of pacing in visual storytelling to maintain engagement, and effectively use persuasive calls to action to convert viewers into customers.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of researching and integrating current social media trends into their content creation process, and is able to stay ahead of the curve on emerging trends.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about collaborating with cutting-edge AI technology to enhance their creative workflow.

Here’s an overview of the day-to-day:

  • Employ advanced editing techniques in Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Work closely with our Production and Influencer teams to brainstorm creative concepts
  • Animate branded templates while maintaining brand guidelines
  • Research the latest video strategies, trends and editing best practices
  • Manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality edits on budget

What skills should you have?

  • Experience in direct response video advertising employing techniques to grab and keep an audience’s attention through clever use of hooks, narrative storytelling and strong calls to action.
  • An ability to identify how videos can be improved and iterated to create maximum impact.
  • When it comes to video editing software, you have Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects down pat. Keyframing animations, smooth transitions?—you’ve got the fundamentals mastered.
  • You know how to tune audio and colour correct footage to take it to the next level. More than technical proficiency, you have a knack for visual storytelling that grabs attention. Your editing intuition helps you craft videos optimised for social media appeal.
  • When challenges come up in the editing process, you’ve never met an online tutorial you didn’t like. You’re resourceful about filling knowledge gaps, eagerly self-teaching new skills along the way.
  • Mentorship and feedback are welcomed rather than shunned. You’re committed to refining your craft through continued growth.
  • In an ideal world, you’d also have some camera operation skills under your belt—but if not, no worries. The same goes for Photoshop and Lightroom capabilities. We can provide additional training to promising candidates in these areas. Most vital is your sharp, creative eye paired with Adobe editing know-how.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00 per year
