Founded by chef David Chang, Momofuku’s mission is to challenge the conventions of food – in restaurants and beyond. We launched our line of Asian pantry essentials in 2020 to bring restaurant flavors to home cooks everywhere. Since then, we have grown our team to more than 10 employees and our products can now be found nationwide – from our owned ecommerce marketplace to the shelves at grocery stores like Whole Foods and Wegmans.

We are looking for a Video Editor focused on short form video to join our Momofuku Goods marketing team. As a video editor, you will be responsible for creating and iterating on visually appealing and highly effective ads that drive customer engagement and conversion. This includes editing raw footage, deconstructing existing footage, motion graphics, and animating high performing static concepts. The video editor will communicate with external partners who produce content for us, and participate in the concepting process. In addition, this role will support the Momofuku Goods marketing team on brand projects.

Compensation Band: $85,000 – $100,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, edit, and iterate on video ads as briefed by the marketing and design teams.
• Participate in the concepting process. And at times owning the concept for select creatives from start to finish.
• Receive and implement feedback from the marketing and design teams.
• Storyboard ideas that translate well into video ads based on briefs.
• Communicate company needs with external partners.
• Translate High performing static ads into animated creatives.
• Combine video creatives with appropriate audio.
• Enforce brand standards to ensure Momofuku’s brand is well represented.
• Prepare ads for deployment in the necessary aspect ratios.

Required Qualifications

• Video editing experience in Premiere and/or After Effects.
• Comfortable with the visual conventions and ecosystems of social media.
• Minimum 3 year video editing experience, agency or in house.
• A strong eye for design, layout, typography, and attention to detail.
• 2+ years Motion graphics experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years video editing experience, agency or in house.
• Ability to consistently create paid media that is in-line with Momofuku’s performance targets.
• C4D / Blender experience.
• Demonstrated ability to direct video shoots with external partners.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the inner workings of Momofuku’s Design team, systems, and processes.

Physical Demands

• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
