The Instructor, Advanced Film Production applies skill in teaching and learning to facilitate inclusive student engagement and educational approaches for learners as they develop innovative techniques to teach students about the many facets of their courses.
The Instructor guides the development of curriculum, courses, and methodologies to address the learning requirements within the Centre for Entertainment Arts programs. The Instructor works collaboratively with faculty and internal stakeholders to facilitate inclusive learning opportunities for learners of varying skill-levels and experience; delivers and develops related curriculum as assigned; supports internal research into continuous instructional improvement; and liaises with external stakeholders to support placement and partnership opportunities in industry
Qualifications
- Diploma in a related field (post-secondary)
- 2 years of industry experience, and one accredited published movie, game or app title
- Demonstrable familiarity and experience in this discipline
- Excellent communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead workshops, lectures and seminars
- An equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may be considered
This opening is a casual (faculty) position. Please note all successful candidates will be required to provide copies of government issued identification and proof of educational qualifications upon hire and may be required to provide an enhanced police information check.
