Job Description

We have a vacancy in our Tamworth office in News Operations as a Senior ENG Camera Operator. You will work closely with reporters, producers and editors to gather content for News and other programming for both Online and television platforms.

The successful applicant will have:

• Experience gathering and delivering high quality vision and audio for news stories in a broadcast television environment;
• Strong knowledge of broadcast camera and ancillary equipment, and of audio equipment and techniques;
• Strong knowledge of editing software, AVID and Final Cut
• Ability to cut together packages, VOs and VOSOTS across news, sport and weather
• An open, approachable style which will enable you to build strong relationships and work together to produce highly engaging content;
• The willingness to adapt to new technology and practices;
• An understanding of how to apply storytelling techniques;
• Current driver licence.

Qualifications

What we would like to see on your resume:

• Experience using AVID and Final Cut
• Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster and work additional hours when required.
• Ability to adapt to the frequently changing needs of news gathering operations
• Proven experience as an ENG Camera Operator in a Broadcast setting
