Reason is looking to hire an assistant video editor to join its growing production team in Washington, D.C.

You would be responsible for managing all of the media assets in our production ecosystem and providing support for our editors and producers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Adobe applications, especially Premiere. We’re looking for someone self-motivated, highly organized, and tech savvy. An understanding of Reason‘s mission and an appreciation for the libertarian worldview are a plus.

JOB DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

Ingesting, backing up, and creating proxy versions of our media
Setting up and organizing Adobe Premiere projects
Setting up multicam interviews
Stringout radio cuts
Coordinating with our motion graphics team and sound engineer
Color-correcting media
Using AI tools for transcription
Generating clips of our interviews and documentaries
Uploading media to YouTube and other platforms
Archiving published media to Amazon Glacier
Maintaining our footage library

This is a full-time in-person position with benefits, based out of our Washington, D.C. office.
