Filmmaker

The Film Maker assists in the production of video content for Radiant Church. The Film Maker will be a part of all aspects of the film production process both on and off the set. The Film Maker will collaborate with team members in brainstorming, directing, shooting, and producing content. Primary film responsibilities include directing and turning uncut footage from a film shoot into a finished, cohesive final project for Radiant new weekend experience, ministries initiatives, and special events

• Detail oriented, creative, ability to learn new software applications
• Willingness to work after hours or on weekends when needed
• Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence
• Ability to lead, problem solve, and tell a story effectively.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong experience in video editing applications including Adobe Creative
• Suite and Final Cut Studio. Must have the ability to learn new software/plugins quickly.
• Ability to find concise ways to tell a story and/or give out information

III. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Create film content for weekend experiences, special events, and ministries of Radiant Church.
• Create storyboards, scene development, and determine camera angles needed for each project assigned.
• Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with Radiant Creative team other film members, designers, and project managers in both technical and non-technical roles throughout the life of the project.
• Overseeing the quality of the audio in the video and collaborating with the audio director when necessary.
• Bring fresh and creative ideas to the table for new avenues of video production.
• Occasionally assist in filming live coverage for weekends and some events.
• Ensure film projects deadlines are met and remain on budget.
• Reading and editing scripts.
• Maintain healthy and invested relationships with current dream team members and film volunteers.
• Assist with Dream Team Development and Dream Team responsibilities as assigned.
• Stay up to date with knowledge of upcoming filmmaking trends and technologies.
• Assist with managing equipment and inventory responsibly in the creative suite and on shoots.
• Oversee the technical aspects of a video set including professional handling of cameras, confidently rigging lighting, and help create sets in pre-production.
• Be a part of on location video shoots.
• Other duties as assigned.IV. Other Requirements
• Work within the timeline established by directors and producers in order to turn the film around on deadline with initial, uncut version and with revisions making sure the project stays on task.
