ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Gaffer to join the Production Operations team.
The candidate will help our local productions technical operations team to achieve quality and success through their work in lighting for live television production.

ABOUT YOU:
You are an enthusiastic self-starter who loves working with data, is detail oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. You have some experience working in a data entry or administrative role.

YOUR DAY-DAY:
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure that lighting design requirements are met
- Reviewing plans for lighting setups
- Overseeing the installation of lighting equipment, including light stands, diffusers, reflectors, bulbs, and electrical components
- Ensuring that the crew has adequate supplies of gaffer tape, clamps, extension cords, and other equipment necessary for set up and tear down venue
- Working with the executive producer to establish the required lighting effects look and feel for show
- Supervising other members of the lighting crew, including electricians, grips, and camera operators
- Provide immediate solutions in the event of equipment or other lighting problems
YOU HAVE:
- College Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of audio experience in a live television production environment
- Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
- Electrical skills: work with electrical equipment and machinery, good understanding of electrical systems and how to safely work with them.
- Experience troubleshooting problems with electrical equipment and machinery.
- Communication skills; ability to communicate with other gaffers, production assistants, directors and other crew members.
