The Lockout Company is a safety and security company that aims to create safer facilities for people to learn, work, live, and play. Through industry leading technology and safety equipment, we give facilities the tools they need to share critical information and keep people safe during an active shooter event.
We are looking for a creative individual to help with photography, videography, and video editing for our family of companies. You will use various Adobe Creative Suite programs to create a wide range of video content highlighting our products, product training, safety training, and customer interviews. You will capture show-stopping videos and images for use on social media, marketing materials, and more. You will also assist with general office needs as well as specific tasks.
The ideal candidate is a team player who fills in and helps out where they are needed. The ability to take on multiple tasks and wear several different hats is important to us. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage into high-quality videos, ensuring smooth transitions, proper pacing, and seamless integration of audio and visual elements
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute video concepts that align with the company’s vision and objectives
- Utilize film editing techniques to enhance storytelling and create engaging content
- Apply visual effects, motion graphics, and animations using software such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
- Select and edit music tracks to complement the video content
- Incorporate typography and graphic elements to enhance the visual appeal of the videos
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and branding across all video projects
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Coordinate site visits with customers to capture photos and video footage
- Utilize a camera, gimbal stabilizer, tripod, microphone, and other recording equipment to capture high-quality photos, video footage, and audio
- Design assets in Illustrator/Photoshop
- Organize files, photos, and video assets in Dropbox
- Follow the direction of company Management Staff
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Proficient in video and photo editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of cinematography principles and storytelling techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong sense of composition, color theory, and typography
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Solid organizational skills to manage files, assets, and project timelines effectively
- Proficient in Google Suite or G Suite
- Proficient on a Mac computer
- Oral and written communication skills
Nice to have skills:
- Experience or interest in drone photography/videography

Occasional travel is required, mostly throughout Michigan, and may require adjusted start and end times. You must be able to walk around, bend and stoop, and be on your feet for several hours while on a site visit.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
