Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role as a Camera Operator. The Camera Operator will be responsible for camera operation and lighting to ensure high-quality video production for social media content. The role is located in Surrey, BC, with flexibility for some remote work.

Responsibilities:
– Operate cameras and related equipment during video shoots and productions
– Set up and adjust lighting, audio, and other technical equipment
– Follow scripts, shot lists, or storyboards to ensure proper framing and composition
– Monitor and maintain camera equipment to ensure functionality and quality of footage
– Edit and enhance footage using editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or other industry-standard software
– Incorporate visual effects and motion graphics using Adobe After Effects or similar software
– Collaborate with the post-production team to ensure seamless integration of footage into the final product

-Driving Licence must
– Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously improve skills

Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Camera Operator or similar role
– Proficient in operating professional cameras, related equipment and social media content writing
– Strong knowledge of lighting techniques and audio recording principles
– Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately
– Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
– Ability to adapt to changing production needs and work under tight deadlines

Salary: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • video editing: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Surrey, BC V3X 0H6 (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Surrey, BC V3X 0H6
