Video Editor (Short Contract)

Job Overview:

We seek a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in video editing software and possess a strong understanding of storytelling through visual media. The Video Editor will work closely with our content creation team to produce high-quality videos that align with our brand and engage our target audience.

Responsibilities:

Video Editing:

– Edit raw footage to create compelling and visually appealing videos.

– Ensure smooth transitions, proper pacing, and seamless integration of audio and visual elements.

– Implement graphics, effects, and other enhancements to elevate video quality.

Storytelling:

– Collaborate with the content creation team to understand the project goals and desired narrative.

– Craft engaging stories through effective sequencing and arrangement of video clips.

– Technical Proficiency:

– Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software and techniques.

– Troubleshoot technical issues related to video editing software and hardware.

Communication:

– Work closely with the content creation team and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.

– Receive and incorporate feedback to refine video projects.

Organisation and Time Management:

– Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload effectively.

– Meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with videographers, graphic designers, and other team members to ensure a cohesive and polished final product.

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role.

-Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, but preferably Canva.

– Strong understanding of visual storytelling and video composition.

– Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and delivery platforms.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

– Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

– A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous work.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: RM1,500.00 – RM2,000.00 per month
