Summary of Position
The Coordinator, Development role requires a talented individual who will handle a variety of administrative duties in support of daily operations in the Development department and VP of Development with Pilgrim Productions.
Responsibilities
- Position provides internal support to Development Department
- Will perform basic administrative duties and manage department schedules
- Generates ideas and sources undiscovered talent for potential projects
- Assists Development Executives with their ongoing projects
- Will often be asked to write various treatments
- Will perform phone and Skype castings as needed
- Coordination of field production
- Basic camera work
- Schedules and leads casting shoots
- Develops show concepts based on network mandates
- Manages own slate of development projects
- Basic post production editing
- Travel may be required as well as move/transport film equipment
Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of experience in a development position
- Strong organizational skills
- Communication skills: including cold casting and impromptu interviews, writing, and email
- Ability to perform unique and innovative research methods
- Basic camera operation experience
- Knowledge of FCP, Avid, etc.
- Resourcefulness
- Atop current trends pertaining to television and pop culture
- Innate sense of storytelling
- Experience writing treatments
- General knowledge of post editing
- General filming skills
