Requirements

About the role

As a result of our incredible success and growth within our Social and Content team, we are looking for a brand new Junior Video Editor to join us! You’ll be working alongside a team of 3 within the Video production team, who work collaboratively with our channel specific teams to create engaging content focused on our Gen-Z audience. You’ll be working with big name brands like The Times, Samsung, Greggs, giffgaff, Asos.com and more!

Responsibilities Include

• Helping to create and edit content for YouTube on a weekly basis, as well as participating in brainstorms for both organic and branded content which promotes a wide range of products to our Gen-z audience.
• Working collaboratively with wider teams to create video content that posts across several channels e.g. Instagram team, TikTok team
• Closely monitoring social and industry trends daily to ensure we are reactive and utilise anything suitable e.g. memes, a trending video edit style
• Monitoring industry or platform updates to to ensure we are ahead of the curve in all things video – proactively sharing these findings with the rest of the team and making suggestions off the back of them
• Proactively seek ways to further develop their knowledge of social media e.g. attending webinars, requesting learning resources
• Build an online community – interacting with users daily both on and off profile, confidently demonstrating our tone of voice whilst doing so (aka replying to comments on our Youtube channel)
• Ad-hoc filming for our social video series including vox pops (some travel and out of office hours may be required)
• Editing short and long form content that will sit across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and the blog.
• Follow video team best practices at all times

A Little Bit About You…

We’d really like to hear from you, if you have…

• Experience editing video content for social channels and YouTube
• Experience attending shoots and capturing content for YouTube
• Experience using a social calendar and forward planning/scheduling video content
• Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects
• Solid understanding of editing using the Adobe Creative Suite (must have Premier Pro)
• Solid understanding of the Google Suite
• Super organised editing processes
• Can create content that will stick to our brand guidelines and tone of voice
• Understanding of YouTube and video trends
