ASSISTANT VIDEO EDITOR

General Description
The Assistant Video Editor for the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) will be responsible for assisting in the production of video content that aligns with our brand, mission, and goals. As the visual storyteller for the association, this role is vital in the process of executing video projects from concept through completion and bringing NKBA thought-leadership content and recorded events to life. Reporting to the Video Content Producer, the ideal candidate will be a unique talent, with a focus on quality content for marketing, media, PR, regardless of subject matter.
Core Responsibilities
- Create timelines in Adobe Premiere featuring program footage, b-roll, graphics and interview clips.
- Edit footage according to scripts, formats & production guidelines.
- Create and edit graphics for broadcast & digital using Adobe After Effects & Photoshop.
- Assist in the creation of promos.
- Assist in creating digital content for various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Deliver final productions to the required specifications.
- Quality control live events before they air to ensure there are no technical/creative issues.
- Attend and monitor live events to ensure flawless execution, obtain footage and edit live highlights for posting on social media.
- Assist in troubleshooting common Post issues and address technical notes within edits.
- Work closely with the project management and creative teams to execute quality deliverables on schedule.
- Communicate clear and realistic timelines to the project management team.
- Ingest, Transcode, Organize, and Archive footage.
- Keep detailed logs on footage, ingests, and preps.
- Prep, Sync multi-cam footage, create string outs, assembly cuts, and apply markers.
- Conform assets for delivery to vendors for sound and color, as well as marketing team deliverables.
- Collaborate on larger projects, providing support with dailies, selects, and workflow knowledge to streamline the post process, etc.
- Address simple technical notes within projects and in-video graphics when requested.
- Assist Post-Production team in managing assets and production materials.
- Support communication between Production and Post-Production teams.
- Work with Production Technologies to resolve technical issues.
- Attend and participate in annual KBIS events and other events as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, TV/Film Production, Communications, or similar discipline or combination of education and experience (Required).
- Highly proficient in Mac OS, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder, After Effects, Adobe Audition or similar (Required).
- Minimum of 3-4-years’ experience in all aspects of video content creation, pre- to post-production process and equipment (Required).
- Must understand basic and advanced composition techniques.
- Must be very detail-oriented and able to identify quality issues in audio and video.
- Excellent planning and project management skills; able to set priorities and has excellent time and project management skills to meet deadlines / goals.
- Creative thinker, who can apply out of the box thinking to problem-solving and big picture concepts.
- Must be a self-motivated and directed; a self-starter with initiative & vision with strong attention to detail.
- Superior interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
- Creative, technical, and open to new ideas.
- Ability to complete tasks autonomously.
- Ability to adapt and meet changing timelines and deliverables while maintaining multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of social media and digital video platforms (Preferred).
- Experience behind a camera and knowledge of lighting and sound design (Preferred).
- Able to be flexible and balance competing priorities effectively.
- Able to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues efficiently.

Hybrid Workplace; works in both a standard office environment in the Bethlehem, PA office with some remote work opportunities.
- Employees are required to travel to the HQ as needed for all staff & department meetings, events, quarterly all staff events, etc. as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
