Utah Valley University is seeking a Spanish/English Voice Actor!
Summary of Responsibilities
- Recording Spanish or English (or both) lines from Spanish-English interpreting practice scripts (scenarios will be in medical, legal, and educational settings).
- We currently have the following needs for accents (these will indicate both our needs and the volume of work you can expect):
23 scripts total, all needing American English-speaking voice actors (mix of male and female voices)
All 23 scripts will need a voice actor who has high enough proficiency in Spanish and English to record the interpreter’s part in both languages (mix of male and female voices).
13 scripts for Mexican Spanish (5 male characters and 10 female characters)
2 scripts for Venezuelan Spanish (2 male characters and 1 female character)
1 script for Colombian Spanish (1 male character)
2 scripts for Guatemalan Spanish (2 male characters and 2 female characters)
1 script for Chilean Spanish (1 male character)
1 script for Cuban Spanish (1 male character and 1 female character)
2 scripts for Honduran Spanish (1 male character, same character in both scripts)
1 script for Puerto Rican Spanish (1 male character and 1 female character)
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a current UVU student
- Either native speaker of Spanish or English.
- Ability to perform scripts in an authentic way that reflects how ordinary people speak.
- Voice actors who can do Mexican accent and Central American accents
Preferred Qualifications
- Natural Spanish/English bilingual (extensive experience speaking Spanish and English from a very early age).
- Experience with voice recording.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
- Ethical, responsible, motivated self-starter who needs little to no supervision after training.
- Ability to adhere to a set schedule.
