*Job Title: Film Production Manager/Instructor**Film Production Manager/Instructor*InFocus Film School, located in downtown Vancouver, is a dynamic creative hub dedicated to creating media artists who will work both locally and internationally as experts in the cinematic arts. We are a constantly evolving, fast-paced, creative hub that fosters students? artistic identities through attentive, industry-renowned instructors and hands-on learning. Every day at InFocus is filled with experimentation and artistic risk, creating a centre of excellence where our students can learn and flourish.We are currently seeking a Film Production Manager/Instructor. This is a leadership role that allows the person to teach several classes and lead a team of other instructors. This person would be a team builder for a group of like-minded industry professionals. This individual must have professional experience or otherwise extensive knowledge in one of the following four disciplines:·*Job Description *The role of a Film Production Manager is crucial in any film production, and it becomes even more significant in a film school setting where students are learning the ropes of filmmaking. Here’s an overview of the responsibilities and skills required for a Film Production Manager/Instructor in a film school*Job Duties*General management of the Film Production Program to ensure it is running smoothly and that schedules and timelines are created and maintained· Teaching a minimum of 18 hours per week including supervision of student film shoots· Coordinate the learning environment, including the accurate and timely recording of attendance, grades, feedback, and other associated duties· Advise and advance revisions to our curriculum and project-based educational model· Adapt to an existing curriculum to help deliver high-quality lesson plans and maintain a unified curriculum.Recruit and onboard new instructors monitor the success of instructors, and chair teacher?s meetings to improve the student experience· Maintain the quality of the program and respond to student complaints and feedback· Organize, plan, and deliver classes;Teach First AD Classes and Production MentorshipsCreate schedules for each cohort?s quarterly roll-out;Coordinate courses for effective program delivery;Conduct meetings with students as required in conjunction with the Student Services department for policy, attendance, and behavior concerns;Support the roll-out of Film Production Program orientations, meet-and-greets, and other events related to the Film Production Program;Manage staff and contractors supporting the Film Production Program;Support the learning objectives of the Film Production Program and ensure student success through all stages of the program and beyond;Review the program regularly and ensure the execution of weekly schedule and/or production changes is effectively communicated and rolled out to instructors and students;Schedule, and onboard teachersOrganize courses, shoots, graduations, and rollout of modulesOversee curriculum and program evolutionMonitor student satisfaction, evaluate surveys, and, if necessary, act on student feedback to ensure program effectiveness;Resolve student disputes and complaints and escalate to Student Services if necessarySolve problems and develop plans to resolve issues that arise in the programDelegate project tasks to team members and oversee their successCoordinate with the Operations and Gear Departments to ensure resources are available when required in the program;Collaborate with the Accounting Department to set budgets and ensure the profitability and financial success of the program;Other duties, including managerial tasks, as needed.*Skills and Qualifications:*1. *Organizational Skills:*· Strong ability to plan and organize multiple tasks efficiently.2. *Communication Skills:*· Effective verbal and written communication skills.3. *Problem-s
