Job Title: Video Editor

Type of Employment: Fulltime Hybrid 8:30 am – 5:30 Monday to Friday.

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 plus achievable quarterly bonus of £2,250.

Location: Newcastle

Overview

The Video Editor role is designed to improve our marketing output by delivering exceptional video content to meet business objectives.

The role focuses on producing video content for current and prospective clients.

The Video Editor will work closely with the full marketing team to deliver campaigns and with business leads within the company to understand their objectives.

As Video Editor you will produce:

• One weekly video show and audio podcast (22 minutes)
• Four daily reviews of the markets (3 minutes)
• One weekly longer review of the markets (10 minutes)
• Daily shortform video content for social media

Core duties & responsibilities As Video Editor

Development of video production

• Understand the business needs and objectives
• Evaluate and recommend ways for video to help meet those needs
• Stay up-to-date with YouTube, Social Media and Podcast marketing
• Evaluate output, report on key metrics and propose improvements

Video production

• Quarterly planning of video output to meet business needs
• Organise equipment and diaries for shoots
• Set up lighting, camera, audio and set dressing for shoots
• Editing and post-production of videos
• Continual upskilling of production, editing and platform knowledge

Audio production

• Produce two audio podcasts (weekly and daily)
• Increase following on major podcast outlets
• Develop and improve content for audio-only channels

Social media production

• Plan social media output with social media team
• Develop our understanding of the needs of each channel
• Produce purpose-built shortform content for each channel
• Continual upskilling of production, editing and platform knowledge

• BuzzSprout
• Instagram Reels
• vMix
• TikTok
• YouTube Shorts
• YouTube Studio
