Video Editor

Contract: Full-time, 6-month contract

Location: Cape Town, SA

About the position

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-orientated video editor, with experience in basic text and motion graphics. As a key member of our video production department, you will be responsible for producing captivating and informative short educational videos. In this role, you will utilize our pre-designed templates and adhere to our company’s brand guidelines to ensure a consistent and professional look across all video content. If you have a passion for creating educational videos, a keen eye for detail, proficiency in Adobe software such as Premiere Pro, and a basic awareness/knowledge of After Effects, as well as on-set experience, we invite you to apply and contribute to our mission of delivering engaging educational experiences to learners worldwide.

Duties that you’ll be required to perform include the following:

• Edit together videos using provided assets
• Audio editing and mixing
• Colour grading of footage
• Perform peer reviews on videos
• Asset preparation in Adobe Illustrator
• On-set video production

The minimum education requirement for this role is as follows:

• BA Film and Media (or equivalent level of education/work experience)

Additional skills required:

• Basic knowledge of video editing software
• Premiere Pro, After Effcets and Illustrator advantageous
• Knowledge of/experience in video production
• A basic understanding of visual design
