Staff Video Editor

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Adobe Suite especially Premiere Pro. Other Adobe programs are a plus but not necessary.

• Can navigate Windows and Mac OS

• Open minded and willing to learn.

• Self-Motivated, humble and passionate.

• Have an eye for video composition and a working understanding of film lighting and shooting in natural light.

• Some prosumer level camera experience. Photography experience is welcome but not necessary.

• Ability to adapt style necessary per each project.

• Strong communicator, listener, and takes direction well.

• Well organized, strong collaborator and responsible.

• Experience in documentary style editing.

• Experience in run and gun style shooting.

• Experience in social media style editing.

• Decent understanding of social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Can edit with timing, rhythm and with basic graphics if needed.

• Film videos with proper lighting and exposure.

• Deliver projects by deadline and willing to do revisions if needed.

• Pitch ideas and video concepts.

• Work with a team to produce content that fits and elevates our style.

The videos will consist of (1min+) for socials as well as more in depth documentary style videos for bigger projects.

These videos will follow the work of a local L.A. artist.

Some paid travel to cover events will be required.

Equipment will be provided, or if you’re more comfortable with your own gear you can use that as well.

Please provide links to 2 finished short works or a recent reel. If it’s a reel, please describe the job done in the footage shown. (edited, shot, color graded etc.)

Make sure you put the links in a cover letter, and NOT in your resume. They’re not clickable in resumes on Indeed, and since we receive many responses, if we can’t get to your samples, we’re more likely to just reject the submission.
