The Transitional Assistance Department (TAD) is recruiting for TAD Public Service Employees (PSE). This position includes entry level duties and may only be allocated as Extra Help or Recurrent. PSE duties are commensurate with the responsibilities of the temporary assignment in which they have been assigned.
Note: These are recurrent, non-regular, limited duration positions classified as a Public Service Employee (PSE). The successful candidate shall be considered at-will throughout the term of their employment, and will not attain regular status.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required, and employees may be required to make provisions for local transportation (mileage reimbursement is available at current IRS rates). A valid California Class C driver license, clean driving record, and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation.

Background: Incumbents must successfully complete a background check, including fingerprinting, prior to appointment.

Sponsorship: Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
  
Experience: Six (6) months of paid work experience. Duties should include a variety of tasks, including, public service contact (in-person, via telephone, and/or online support), computer usage, typing, filing, answering the telephone and data entry.

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Bilingual Skills (Spanish/English) is highly desirable.
