Your Creative Sauce (YCS), a small full service creative agency based in York has an exciting opportunity for a Designer to join our exciting business. With in-house design for digital, web design/build, video production, motion graphics and print combined with account management support, this is an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their design, digital/technical and account management to become an enthusiastic member of our team to continue the development of their career and our business.

Working within the corporate, hospitality, tourism, education and retail sectors we require a candidate that will work closely with our creative team to visualise, produce and deliver work across all media. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in today’s creative media to fulfil client briefs. A strong skillset of graphic visualisation, video production/motion graphics and frontend WordPress development is required. Knowledge of print techniques is preferable too. The candidate will also have excellent communication skills when working with team members and also directly with clients. Being prepared to take on minor account management tasks as well as become involved in minor administrative duties when required. The role can be classed as ‘mulit-media’. We are looking for a creative thinker and designer who can apply their visions across all media and add to the flexibility of our creative team. Somedays you could be working on a video, the next on brand development, the next day maybe on a website. It will suit a candidate who has a thirst for applying their visual talent across all types of media.

Combining the specialisms and strengths of a brand agency, design studio, web programmers, video producers and commercial printers all under one roof. YCS create, develop and nurture brands in York and throughout the UK. These experiences come in many different guises.

Key responsibilities/requirements:

· Experience in taking a project from client brief through concept/production to delivery

· Excellent graphic, layout and visualisation expertise including print production knowledge

· Proficient in video production and motion graphic animation

· Experience in frontend development in WordPress and Beaver Builder or similar building plugin

· Proactive, fast and efficient production skills

· Strong communication skills

· Methodical approach

· Respond positively to feedback and amends

· Follow all studio job processes and quality controls

· Excellent attention to detail/accuracy

· Ability to work on multiple tasks at once

· Understanding of digital production requirements

· Basic Understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS etc

· Basic understanding of print production requirements

· Passion for graphic, web and video production including photography

· Enthusiastic to learn new technical skills

· Accompany Managing Director and Creative Director to client meetings

· Occasionally accompany other team members to business development events, some may be out of office hours

Required software usage capability:

· Adobe Premiere

· Adobe After Effects

· Adobe Illustrator

· Adobe Photoshop

· Adobe InDesign

· Mac OS

Preferred software usage or enthusiastic to develop skills in:

· Adobe XD/similar layout tool

· WordPress & Beaver Builder (similar Builder plug-in)

· Adobe Acrobat

· Microsoft Office
