Job Position(s): Sizzle Reel Video Editor for Entertainment Industry Talent
Project Type: Various Projects
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary
Union Status: Non-Union

We have a small team of film and tv lovers that create brand sizzle reels and demo reels for people working in the entertainment industry. Acting reels, Directing Reels… we’ve even done Stunt Reels and Casting Director Reels. We are looking for a very organized and motivated forward thinker, willing to assist the team and both prep and edit projects in FCPX.

Prior knowledge of Final Cut Pro X is a must. All NLE’s are different, and Premiere just isn’t the same as FCPX. Please only apply if you have Final Cut experience. The job requires knowledge of encoding, transcoding, metadata, keyword tagging, file formats, and audio conversion. I can provide the workflow instructions needed in each situation to complete the job, but the understanding of all mentioned above are imperative characteristics of the right person for this job.

I’m looking for people with a good eye and ear, who are generally tech-savvy and resourceful, and can take and implement specific instruction, but also have ambitions to edit and can make creative suggestions.

We work out of a studio loft apartment in downtown Lincoln and because the equipment required to do many of the tasks is located here, the job isn’t able to be completed remotely. Ideally, I would be looking for 20-40 hour per week commitment, but for the right qualified person, it is a role that can be flexible to accommodate their schedules.

This person should have a positive disposition (I like happy people!) and be a self-starter that wants to learn. I want someone who is excited to be able to do this fun type of work…
