The Video Editor and Graphic Designer will join the Apps and Multimedia team creating knowledge resources to empower employees in Sherwin-Williams’ store operations. The role supports multiple lines of business within the company by creating digital assets consistent with Sherwin brand style guides.
To support varied learners, this position will assist in production of multimedia content detailing business objectives and procedures, delivering videos based on scripts and existing text-based documentation and manuals. Video recordings will primarily entail a combination of screen capture and motion graphics, though some live action shoots will be required at headquarters or remote locations in the Cleveland area. Additionally, this position will be responsible for creating various handouts, flyers, mailing packets, and instructional infographics using existing templates and style guides.
- Partner with Content Development to assist in defining asset needs.
- Plan timeline milestones for project completion according to required delivery deadlines.
- Create and iterate concepts for video storyboards.
- Schedule recording and editing sessions.
This individual will collaborate with:
- Content developers to solidify scripts, drafts, and storyboards
- Web developers to establish video templates and an integration plan
- Stores to ensure efficacy
- Business owners and SMEs to verify content
Operational Management & Optimization
- Assess feedback from Content Development team.
- Assist with asset management, maintaining shared source project library.
- Collaborate on style guide changes and recommendations.
- Incorporate lessons learned and improvements based on industry best practices.
Support & Outreach
- Revise content and update documents as needed
- Maintain digital asset library, including version control of source files
- Ensure quality of playback and performance of video streams
- Work outside the standard office 7.5-hour workday may be required.
Formal Education & Certification
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Videography, Video Production, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Knowledge & Experience
Required
- 2+ years of IT/Business experience
- Portfolio demonstrating a variety of print, digital, and video samples
- Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects, Media Encoder
- Other Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- TechSmith Camtasia/Snagit or other screen recording software
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
- Experience with photo and videos shoots, particularly lighting and audio capture
- Experience with teleprompter
- Experience with typography and document layout
- Experience with motion graphics
