POSITION SUMMARY:

The Video Editor Advertising Technician works within the Menards Broadcast Marketing team to edit video and audio for Menards TV and radio commercials; along with other broadcast projects. This position is located in Eau Claire, WI.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Pre and post production of all TV and radio commercials, and in house video/audio projects (editing, scripting, product research, coordination with videographers, vendors and buying staff)
  • Non-linear video and audio editing
  • Creation of motion graphics
  • Product research, script writing, storyboarding
  • Recording of voice-over audio in the studio
  • Manage approval workflows and make necessary changes
  • Export video and audio files for distribution
  • Collaborate with videography team members, and other marketing and merchandising teams

Skills/Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication, Advertising or Communications; an emphasis in Videography, Broadcast or Electronic Media or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year professional video editing experience (preferably Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere, After Effects, and Audition)
  • Digital audio editing professional experience
  • Experience creating titles, motion graphics, and animations
  • Strong knowledge of color correction and color grading techniques
  • Chroma-key, masking, and rotoscoping experience
  • Photo editing and retouching experience helpful
  • Thorough understanding of video formats and codecs for broadcast TV and the Web
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Adobe Premiere, Audition, After Effects
    • Microsoft Office
  • Must be hardworking; a self-motivator
  • Must be CREATIVE! Can’t be
  • Must be accurate and have a good eye for details
  • Advertising copywriting experience desired
  • Good communication and organization skills required
  • Must work within designated normal office hours – Monday-Friday, 40-45 hours/week -at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered)
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, presently and in the future, without sponsorship
  • Must submit a reel demonstrating required skillsets
