Secret Mode is the publishing wing of the award-winning Sumo Group Ltd. Our goal is to publish internally developed projects from any of Sumo Group’s 19 game development studios across the UK, Canada, Europe, and India, as well as third party independent game developers. Day in the life of a Video Editor:
As a Video Creator at Secret Mode’s marketing team, you’re the go-to person for crafting engaging video content across various platforms. From social media and strategic marketing assets to website content, game trailers, teasers, and live streaming, you’re the creative force behind it all.
Your skill set spans video editing, motion graphics, video production, sound and lighting, screen capture, and sound design. You’re not just about the technical stuff; you’re all about embracing new ideas and approaches to produce imaginative and compelling video assets for Secret Mode’s game lineup.
Autonomously managing projects from the initial brief to the final cut is your forte. You collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and projects are delivered with creativity and impact.

Your track record speaks for itself, showcasing your ability to consistently deliver original and compelling video assets across multiple platforms. Please note, this is a hybrid role that will require you to work from our studio in Leamington on a weekly basis.
What you need to do this job:
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects with strong knowledge of the supporting Adobe suite.
- Demonstrable skills with animation and motion graphics.
- Experience with sourcing sound effects, music and video assets.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
- Knowledge of working with workflow platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, etc.
- Good knowledge of video platforms including YouTube and Twitch, and social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
- Good understanding and technical knowledge of formats, encoding and transcoding to ensure the best quality for every video.
- Experience within a marketing / entertainment / video game environment.
- Ability to collaborate with peers on video projects.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, work at a fast pace and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Able to manage feedback to video edits appropriately.
- A strong creative eye.
The Interview Process:
At Secret Mode we take a holistic and engaging interview process that allows us to get to know you, your skills and your potential. For the Lead Community Manager role we have a two stage interview process:
1st Stage: One hour with our Marketing Director, here we will talk with you about your experience, our expectations in the role and ask some competency based questions. There will of course also be opportunities for you to ask questions!
2nd Stage: One hour with a Lead Video Editor from elsewhere in the business. During this we will discuss further technical aspects of the role and for you to meet some of the amazing people that you may work with across Sumo Group.
