As a film/video editor, you’ll manage material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects to produce a final film or video product. This is a key role in the post-production process and your skills can determine the quality and delivery of the finished result.
- work to a brief outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay
- assemble raw footage, with camera shots, either recorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer
- input uncut rushes and sound, and synchronise and store them into files on the computer
- digitally cut files to put together the sequence of the film and decide what’s usable
- assembly edit of the programme/film and determine the exact cutting for the next and final stages
- oversee the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing
- experiment with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements
- write voiceover/commentary
- suggest or select music reorder and fine-tune the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video
Qualifications:
- A recognized diploma or degree in film production, media studies, or related fields up 5 years experience with portfolio.
- While experience is valued, we embrace fresh talent showcasing exceptional creative abilities.

- Demonstrated expertise in curating emotive wedding films, adept at capturing and conveying profound emotions within cherished moments.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software to weave together enchanting sequences immortalizing love stories. Such as Final cut, DaVinci Resolve
- Mastery in storytelling through visual narratives, skillfully transforming raw wedding footage into heartwarming tales.
- Aptitude in harmonizing music, speeches, and visuals, evoking deep emotions to create indelible wedding montages.
- Impeccable attention to detail, ensuring every frame encapsulates the essence of once-in-a-lifetime events.
- Collaborative skills to liaise effectively with wedding videographers, amplifying the essence of captured moments.
- Flexibility in adapting to diverse editing styles, from cinematic finesse to documentary realism, tailored to each couple’s unique preferences.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Experience:
- video editing: 1 year (Preferred)
