Global online marketplace is seeking a Social Video Editor for a hybrid/onsite contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with channel owners (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, international teams) to edit social video content that aligns with the unique characteristics of each platform.
• Edit scripted and unscripted content, transforming raw footage into polished final products native to the intended platform.
• Manage multiple projects on tight deadlines, incorporating feedback from social channel owners and external teams.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience editing social media video for a large brand or publisher.
• In-depth knowledge of social video content creation and its distinctions from traditional video formats.
• Familiarity with the social video landscape, trends, and a keen understanding of successful consumer and brand content.
• On-camera experience and proficiency in filming social-first videos, including using an iPhone; comfortable being talent in videos.
• Passion for supporting small businesses, creativity, craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to building the Etsy brand for key audiences.
• Understanding of in-platform editing and creation tools on social platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

• Collaborative mindset: Work closely with various stakeholders within and outside the social media team.
• Project management: Effectively balance multiple projects and priorities, adapting to emerging trends and opportunities.
• Scale production: Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Social Video Lead, to contribute to scaling video production across Etsy’s social media team.
