Job Position(s): London Actor Witch Guide
Project Type: Various Projects
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary
Union Status: Non-Union

We are looking for local talented actors to become one of our wonderful London witch guides on our character led walking tour.

This is a fully scripted piece focusing on tales of Londons’ witches across the ages, with a little bit of London history thrown in along the way. Rehearsal time will be provided. Terms and hours are flexible.

This is effectively a one-person show; all eyes are on you. We’re looking for strong actors who are super confident with a high energy – someone who will embody the character of our fun, quirky, knowledgeable witch.

You’ll need great outside projection, engaging storytelling abilities, and be a confident people manager. You’ll also need to be comfortable working alone – and outside whatever the weather.

  • The first round of auditions will be self-tapes
  • The second, an online meeting
  • Rehearsals will be plotted over the course of the next 3-4 weeks

Please note: A good availability on Saturdays and Sundays is a must, plus November and the general Christmas period.

This project needs to be considered as a solo performance, a 1 hour 10 minute monologue which must be thoroughly learned and remembered. The role is written as a friendly, whimsical, educational ‘witch’, not by any means a wicked one. The energy throughout is fun and free, with quite a dry humour – it’s an education that our witch is very excited to impart on her student witchlings, so it needs to be kept light and airy – not in any way dark.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Characterful, expressive and dynamic
  • Engaging storytellers
  • Very strong with outdoor vocal projection
  • A London/Cockney accent would be ideal, but others will be considered.
